Profile

I recently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information with a BS in user experience design and a minor in sociocultural anthropology. Over the past year, I worked at Diligent Corporation as a UX/UI product design intern and partnered with the Art Institute of Chicago to redesign their Ryerson & Burnham Archival website. I am currently seeking a full-time UX/UI product design opportunity in the New York City area.

Experience

UX Design Consultant 

Art Institute of Chicago October 2018 - April 2019  / Ann Arbor, MI

  • Partnered with the Executive Director of Libraries to redesign and modernize the Ryerson & Burnham Digital Archives to be more usable for researchers

  • Conducted user interviews and usability tests to assess both user wants and needs as well as frustrations with the existing website

  • Iterated on low-fi to high-fi designs to create a prototype that demonstrates the final designs and interactions to be handed off to the development team

UX/UI Product Design Intern 

Diligent Corporation​ June 2018 - August 2018  / New York, NY

  • Created wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups and feature walkthroughs in Sketch and Abode Illustrator showcasing solutions designed to improve the overall user experience of Diligent’s suite of B2B SaaS governance products

  • Collaborated with Diligent’s global team of product managers, business analysts, and developers in an agile environment to produce and iterate on UX/UI deliverables for mobile and web-based applications

  • Initiated development of a design system that holds a collection of components - such as color values and typographic elements - to serve as a source of truth for designers and developers to apply across products 

Technical Project Management Intern

BAMTech (MLB Advanced Media)​ December 2016 - August 2017  / New York, NY

  • Acted as a lead administrator, instructor, and troubleshooter during the roll-out and implementation of a project portfolio management tool that forecasts resource allocation to best manage capacity across the web, mobile, and connected devices departments

  • Compiled risks, key dependencies, and project status data from three departmental digest reports (Web, iOS/Android, CD & Microsoft) in order to aggregate 12 property-specific partner reports that are sent weekly to enterprise and technical project managers

  • Designed graphical representations of front-end status report usage across time in order to analyze user trends and ultimately determine necessary process improvements

  • Created and updated documentation that guides users through all technical tools the company uses (Empire, JIRA, Confluence, Prevu) as a means of syncing and guiding projects from conception to completion

UX Design Development Intern 

Sikorsky Aircraft June 2016 - August 2016  / Shelton, CT

  • Transformed Sikorsky Support Services access and interaction with military and commercial proposals and contracts by redesigning their indentures database using the software development life cycle (SDLC) to plan, create, and test a usable database centered around needs determined by individualized user interviews

  • Designed mockups and wireframes which were subsequently reviewed by users before developing the database in Microsoft Access

  • Created user guides and documentation to supplement hands-on user training sessions that taught best practices
